The Freehold Township seal was adopted in 1966 and was commissioned as part of an elementary school contest for students to design a new Township flag. In the frame above is the original hand-drawn entry by the winner of the contest, Robin Lee Ferrell. She was 12 years old at the time.
Robin’s drawing remains the iconic seal of the Township of Freehold to this day, and her original work will remain in Town Hall as a reminder of her contribution to that history.
